Managing your Fundraiser

How to make updates, involve the right people, and close your page

Editing your fundraiser

Even after your fundraiser is live, you can edit it at any time. Based on your fundraiser’s performance, you may want to increase your goal and add a note at the top of your fundraiser celebrating with your supporters and driving momentum to push for that next milestone - here’s how you can do this.

1. Log in at https://app.givematch.com/

Remember, anything fundraiser creation or editing related is hosted on the app site and is not currently possible from your charity dashboard.

2. Head to ‘My Fundraisers’ in the top right corner

3. Find your fundraiser tile and click ‘Manage’

4. Go to ‘Edit and Settings’

Here, you’ll be able to update your goal, image if necessary, and fundraiser content

If you are increasing your fundraiser goal, we’d recommend adding a couple of lines at the top of your fundraiser page to celebrate this - for example:

Thanks to your generous support so far, we’ve hit our original £500 target. We would love your support to reach our new goal of £1000 and hit that next milestone - thank you!

5. Donations

Here you’ll see a list of donor names and amounts - this is particularly useful if your supporters are running fundraisers on your behalf. They can track which of their family and friends have contributed so far, and follow up with those yet to support.

6. Inviting colleagues

If you’d like to invite colleagues to give them editing access you can do this within the ‘Manage’ section and then ‘Team’.

If you need to transfer the ownership of a fundraiser (which changes the ‘organiser’ name) to someone else, please send your fundraiser URL and the name + email of the person to customer.success@givetree.com and we’ll do this for you.

Closing your fundraiser

At the conclusion of your fundraiser, we’d recommend you deactivate the page to stop receiving donations. You can do this by selecting the fundraiser in My Fundraisers, click 'Manage' and then:

  1. Edit & Settings
  2. Settings
  3. Uncheck ‘Allow my fundraiser to accept donations’ and then Save
