How to track fundraiser progress and access donor data

Tracking the progress of your fundraisers and understanding donor contributions is essential for managing your success. Our reporting, available through your charity dashboard, will give insights on specific fundraiser performance as well as detailed donor data.

Fundraiser performance

In order to track the performance of your fundraiser, head to your charity dashboard and navigate to the Fundraisers tab.

Example fundraiser tile with fictional data.

Here you’ll see tiles displaying key metrics for each of your fundraisers, including:

  • Amount Raised: the overall total
  • Target Amount: your fundraiser's financial goal
  • Original Donors: those that have donated directly to your fundraiser page
  • Referral Donors: those that have donated via a friend’s referral link
  • Match funding achieved: (the amount of match funding added to your fundraiser

You’ll also see details of the creator, publishing date, and your fundraiser’ unique ID. When looking at your Donation Summary, you will see reference to the fundraiser ID so that you can identify which page your donors have contributed to.

Donor data

In your charity dashboard there is a Reports tab. Here you’ll find two options:

  • Monthly Report
  • Donation Summary

Monthly Report:

This section is generated on a monthly basis for the previous calendar month. For example, after the first few days of January, you can expect to see this populated for December donations and match funding raised. These reports are primarily for our Donor Advised Fund (DAF) Partner to process your pay out.

The reports you see here show the confirmed donation and matched amounts payable to you each month.

Donation Summary:

This is where you’ll find all of your donor data, and the report you’ll use most frequently. This report updates in as close to real time as possible, and is filterable over a three month period. Once you’ve chosen a period, you’ll see key metrics including:

  • Total amount: this is the amount raised by your donors' individual contributions
  • Donations: the number of donors
  • Matched amount: the amount of match funding added (and the percentage it contributes to your overall total)

To find the overall total raised in the period, calculate [total amount] + [matched amount] = [overall total raised in that period].

In this example, it would be: £14,875 + £15,200 = £30,075 raised overall in this period.

Example report metrics with fictional data.

Download the report to access all of your donors’ data, including:

  • Gift Aid opt in (Y/N)
  • Marketing opt in (Y/N)
  • Email address
  • Location + address
  • Charges paid (Y/N): whether the donor opted to cover the stripe charge
  • Matched (Y/N): whether the donation is matched
  • Matched amount: the amount of match funding added
  • Transfer currency / Source currency / Exchange rate: eg. if the donor pays in USD to a UK charity, the source currency would be USD, the transfer currency would be GBP, and the exchange rate is confirmed
  • Net donation: the amount minus any fees not covered by the donor
  • Payment date + time
  • Fundraiser ID: showing which fundraiser the donor supported. You can identify your fundraiser IDs on the tiles in the Fundraisers section of your dashboard
