Charity profiles

Introducing your new charity profile on GiveMatch. A landing page where your community can donate directly, view your fundraisers, and start fundraising on your behalf.

Your charity now has a public-facing GiveMatch profile that brings all your fundraising activity into one place. It’s designed to help you raise more by making it easier for your community to connect with your cause and your incredible work.

Why it matters

Your profile page enables you to:

  • Tell your story in a way that’s personal, compelling, and impact-driven.
  • Drive direct donations through a central, shareable hub that reflects your values and visual identity.
  • Automatically bring all of your fundraisers together in one place - making it easier for supporters to discover and get involved.
  • Empower supporters to start fundraising on your behalf.
  • Showcase your community’s impact through live data showing the number of donations, total donation value, match funding unlocked, the number of active fundraisers and approximate Gift Aid.

Getting started

Your profile page already exists but to get it ready for promotion to your community, start by updating your info on the ‘General Info’ tab of your charity dashboard.

You may find there is some pre-existing text or imagery here: this may have been added by you or a team member previously, updated by our team based on your website/socials, or taken from the Charity Commission site.

You'll need:
  • A logo512px by 512px
Make your profile instantly recognisable. Use a high-quality image that reflects your brand and mission. Upload what you would normally use on social media (e.g. Instagram or LinkedIn)
  • A banner image1500px by 500px
Set the tone for your page and create a strong first impression. Choose an image that’s visually appealing and aligned with your cause. Use an image that resonates what you do, with limited to no text.
  • A short blurb150 characters
A sentence or two summarising who you are and what you do. Keep it clear and impactful. Try using your mission statement or the one-to-two liner you'd usually use to describe your organisation in a nutshell.
  • An about us storyno character limit
This is your space to share your origin story, mission, and the impact of donations. Be personal and authentic. Although there's no character limit, we recommend keeping it concise, yet meaningful. Donors often skim; so draw them in with clear, compelling language to outline why they should support you and the impact that their support will have.
Please note: When creating your profile logo remember to keep it simple. Use what you'd use on social media. We will always show your logo next to your charities name in text.

Best practices

  • Choose a banner image that is warm, people-focused, and visually appealing.
  • Make sure your blurb and story are written in plain, welcoming language.
  • Highlight your impact: include specific outcomes, stats, or short stories.
  • Keep it updated, especially when you launch new campaigns.

Additional profile links

Along with your profile, you’ll automatically get three unique URLs to share and help grow your support. These are located in the 'General Info' section of your charity dashboard.

  • Your public charity profile link
The central hub where donors can learn about your work, view active fundraisers, create their own fundraisers and donate directly.
    Example: givematch.com/charities/your-charity-id
  • Direct donation link
Perfect for quick sharing, this link takes donors straight to the donation page for your charity. It's also the page that supporters will see if they click 'donate' on your charity profile page, as shown in the image above.
    Example: givematch.com/charities/your-charity-id/donate
  • Direct fundraiser creation link
Invite supporters to create their own fundraisers for your cause. Donations raised through these pages go directly to your charity. It's also the page that supporters will see if they click 'fundraise for us' on your charity profile page, as shown in the image above.
    Example: givematch.com/charities/your-charity-id/fundraisers/create

Add these links to your website, social media profiles, email footers, and anywhere your community connects with you online.

Share it far and wide

Once your profile is setup how you'd like it, share your links:

  • Link from your website to your GiveMatch profile page
  • Add it to your social media bios and Linktree
  • Include it in newsletters, footers, and fundraising materials
  • Use it as the central link when promoting campaigns

This is now your go-to hub for fundraising on GiveMatch - make it easy for donors to discover and support your mission and unlock even more match funding in the process!
